Digit@to multipurpose centre is located in a popular district in the outskirts of Turin, in via Maddalene 30/a. It was born to meet the needs of local families, which often have a difficult economic and social background. Here, ACP collaborates with the association “Terza Settimana” that has been working in this city area for years. Digit@to's services are: assistance for paperwork and various documents, after-school for children, “homework help”, digital courses, English and Italian classes for foreign people.

Current situations and future challenges
In some Italian areas, the unemployment rates are hitting 23% mark, while 40,1% of are young people are out of work (2016 ISTAT data). ISTAT has recently estimated that 4.742.000 people are living in absolute poverty. A material poverty often leads to a spiritual and moral poverty of the person, who ends up in a state of isolation. For those people being part of society becomes always harder. Challenges are copious and huge. ACP can't tackle them all, but decided to take action and give a contribution, upholding rooted local organizations.

Our concrete commitment
The multipurpose centre is open in scheduled days and hours in conjunction with the food distribution taking place in the near Social Market, held by “Terza Settimana”. Qualified people are in charge of the courses to use digital tools and they also give help to get in touch with public and private institutions via web. The project includes also the distribution of teaching material in September and relations development with schools in a social promotion perspective.
Goals
This project aims to promote social inclusion as well as the person's own social fabric. Courses, activities and laboratories are essential to achieve cultural, lingual and psychological development of the individual.
