“Adopt a Family” has been approved by social services as a valid supportive initiative for citizens. ACP Humanitarian Aid provides – fortnightly or monthly- a Box to needy families and people who depend on municipality. ACP partners are in charge of food parcels preparation. Beside material aid, the project includes moral and emotional support.
Current situations and future challenges
In some Italian areas, the unemployment rates are hitting 23% mark, while 40,1% of are young people are out of work (2016 ISTAT data). ISTAT has recently estimated that 4.742.000 people are living in absolute poverty. A material poverty often leads to a spiritual and moral poverty of the person, who ends up in a state of isolation. For those people being part of society becomes always harder. Challenges are copious and huge. ACP can't tackle them all, but decided to take action and give a contribution, upholding rooted local organizations.

Our concrete commitment
ACP manages the collection of long life food (pasta, rice, oil, milk, canned meat, tuna, legumes). We prepare shopping bags and food parcels for needy families. People can also benefit from a counter where they can get help from professional educators, psychologists and counsellors.
Goals
Finding a proper location to use as a storage for long life food and others to use as counters for consultation.
Providing a concrete help to local Social Services in order to help poor families.
Proposing a plan to sustain people, giving them the necessary resources to face hardships.
