ProjectTemporary beds

CUBUS Vita were created as first emergency houses. CUBUS Vita it's a prefab wooden lodging. It represents an alternative to common structures used during emergency situations, earthquakes and natural disasters. CUBUS Vita are easy to assemble and no specific tools are required.

Current situations and future challenges

In some Italian areas, the unemployment rates are hitting 23% mark, while 40,1% of are young people are out of work (2016 ISTAT data). ISTAT has recently estimated that 4.742.000 people are living in absolute poverty. A material poverty often leads to a spiritual and moral poverty of the person, who ends up in a state of isolation. For those people being part of society becomes always harder.
Challenges are copious and huge. ACP can't tackle them all, but decided to take action and give a contribution, upholding rooted local organizations.

Our concrete commitment

After houses installation we have to set the furniture: beds, wardrobes and heating system. But we want to go beyond just giving a roof over people's heads. We want to provide them psychological and moral support, food and clothes, recreational activities and working opportunities so they can reenter society.

Goals

Six CUBUS Vita were built in Turin, in Remar headquarter. It's a small village where each house can host 6 to 8 people. It's an emergency accommodation for homeless and needy people. However, our final goal is the individual complete rehabilitation and dignity recovery.
